The Public Works Department is responsible for the city’s:

BUILDING AND GROUNDS

Building Maintenance (City Hall, Public Works Facility,water facility, Train Station, and other Utility Facilities)
Forestry (Tree City USA and tree protection Grounds and forestry operations)
Grounds Maintenance (Lawn mowing etc. Grounds and forestry operations )
Flood Prevention
Vehicle Maintenance

STREETS

Snow removal (except for State routes; Rand, Palatine & Elmhurst and County routes; Willow. Schoenbeck, Wheeling, & Euclid)
