The Chicago Executive Airport is governed by a board of directors representing the interests of both the City of Prospect Heights and Village of Wheeling, as well as the community. The City of Prospect Heights and the Village of Wheeling appoint directors to the Chicago Executive Airport Board of Directors.

Residents of Prospect Heights have the opportunity to serve on a number of boards or commissions that represent the city. Residents that are interested on serving on a committee should contact City Hall and complete a volunteer application.
